Royal Mail Strikes
Update: Royal Mail have confirmed that the last posting day for Christmas will be Monday 12th December. Please note that this is not a guarantee for delivery in time.
The CWU has called on their members who collect, sort and deliver parcels and letters to take national strike action on the following dates. On these days there will be no collections or deliveries and no sorting of post will take place. On the days before and after the strikes there is likely to be very little, if any, movement of post:
- Wednesday November 30
- Thursday December 1
- Friday December 9
- Sunday December 11
- Wednesday December 14
- Thursday December 15
- Friday December 23
- Christmas Eve
There is currently and will continue to be severe and widespread disruption to the whole Royal Mail network over the coming month. This will heavily impact Christmas deliveries.
We are already seeing consistent delays of up to 2 weeks for all Royal Mail products so for this reason we are now offering a heavily discounted DPD Next Day rate to ensure that we can offer you our usual speedy delivery. Please select this option at the checkout if you are unable to wait for your parcel.
Thank you for bearing with us during this extremely challenging and frustrating time.
